What Starfall is

Because Shovel It already layers Wet, Frozen, Graced, Raged, Bloodlit, Polluted, and Toxic on top of base items, Starfall acts like a multiplier on your existing understanding. Prep checklist before night

1. Redeem luck and power codes. Short 2x Luck or 2x Power windows are wasted on empty inventories and idle drills. Check Codes as evening approaches, join A Snow Game if you have not, and redeem so the buff covers the Starfall block.

2. Equip the right relics. Favor luck, random mutation chance, night multipliers, and Bloodlit lean if you own those rolls. Broken Relics help earlier accounts; Lost Relics dominate once you can afford the ~500M economy tier. If your relics are mismatched for night, swap before the stars start—not halfway through.

3. Place drills on high-value snow. AFK digs during Starfall are free value. Plant drills on dense tiles you actually want cleared—road or sidewalk for coin volume, ice if you are chasing frozen legendaries, construction if a quest is still active. 4. Clear inventory space. Rare finds do not help if you cannot pick them up. Sell junk early, quarantine quest items, and enter Starfall with room to spare.

How to play during Starfall

Stay on the map. The biggest mistake is treating Starfall like flavor skybox and logging off. Dig actively on your best snow type while drills cover a second patch. Rotate between manual high-attention digs (ice chase, quest-critical tiles) and broad vehicle passes for pollution and coverage.

Watch for Bloodlit and other night-tagged mutations called out in Mutations and Weather. When a premium mutation lands, note which snow type and loadout produced it so you can repeat the pattern on the next night.

If a quest is outstanding—Tired Tim ladders, Farmer orb digs, Grandma sidewalk counts—Starfall is still a fine time to progress it, because each dig carries better side-value. Just do not sell the quest objects in the excitement of rare loot.

Starfall’s fantasy is rare outcomes: mutated items that dwarf normal sell prices and memorable skins or cosmetic-leaning drops players associate with night events. Legendary ice finds like Thor’s Hammer remain ultra-rare (~1/25k community odds) whether or not stars are falling; Starfall simply makes general rare farming feel better while you take ice pulls.

Broken Relics (~500K tier) that raise luck, radius, weather boost, or random mutation chance all help you “show up” to Starfall stronger.
