There is no official developer tier list. Every ranking on this wiki is a soft community ranking built from creator guides, mid-game and endgame progression patterns, and how players spend coins after blessings and shop upgrades. Treat the tiers as decision support, not gospel.

How to use these rankings

Soft community ranking rules

We score gear on four practical axes that match in-game stats:

1. Luck — how often digs surface rarer items and better sell values.
2. Power / Strength — how hard each swing hits snow piles and dense patches.
3. Shovel Speed — swing cadence and how quickly you finish a tile.
4. Radius — how wide your dig footprint is; large radius tools dominate late farming loops.

Blessings bought early multiply everything you do afterward, so community guides almost always tell new diggers to unlock blessings before chasing flashy mid-shop tools. Cosmetic skins such as Ice Age (commonly unlocked by inviting three friends) can look premium without replacing a weak shovel—keep fashion and DPS separate when you plan spends.

Shovels and tools at a glance

Creator consensus places Lost Shovel, Lumber Shovel, Galaxy Staff, and the highest-radius endgame shop shovel in soft S tier. Burning Shovel and other strong radius upgrades sit in soft A. Mid-shop and reinforced tools fill B–C. The starter plastic shovel is a temporary tool—replace it as soon as you can afford a real shop upgrade. Community data summarized from Pro Game Guides–style tables lists 11 Broken Relics and 9 Lost Relics. Broken spins cost far less (about 500K) and are useful while you climb. Early keepers include Elemental, Extended, Lucky, and Infested; Unlucky is a weak pull you usually re-roll when possible. Lost Relics (about 500M) define endgame kits: soft S highlights Hybrid (Mythical), Angelic (Graced 10x), Demonic (Raged 8x), and Giant; soft A covers Leprechaun, Mutated, Vampiric, Money Maker, and Superhuman. How patches change the meta

Shovel It ships frequent quality-of-life and theme updates. The Toxic Update (pollution and vehicles, branded near Update 0.5 on the Roblox page around September 2026) added vehicle-driven pollution mutations and shipped codes such as UPDATE4, IHATEDELAYS, and OPTIMIZATION.
